@SFBayGman why is your username is SFBayGman when it clearly should be BART_PD.

After killing innocent Oscar Grant in cold blood, BART PD was supposed to have done deep introspection & become more sensitive. This incident just goes to show that BART PD is still acting like arrogant thugs.

I am really appalled at how Mr. Linton Johnson laughs @00:22 in the video.

He is not just any BART employee, he is BART’s Chief Communications Officer.

  • SFBayGman says:

@TheInternetizen Why would you “disarm” yourself by throwing a weapon at a cop? Ninja skills or not, that’s just stupid. If someone throws any kind of potentially deadly weapon at me I’m not going to assume it’s not going to hurt me. You can see the gun discharging just as the knife bounces off the train. Sorry, no conspiracy here.

  • TheInternetizen says:

@SFBayGman Yes, he threw his knife away, at the cop, disarming himself. This is completely obvious, as seen in the video and known by everyone who knows about this story. Or are you suggesting he is some sort of ninja samurai master with super knife throwing skills that he obviously doesn’t have?

He shot after the disarm. Period.

And, news flash, the DA always finds their officers to have used necessary force, in literally every occasion. This is the way the world works. Welcome to reality.

  • SFBayGman says:

@Peacetoyouandyours Another late reply but if he threw the weapon away then why did it come from behind the officer as if it had bounced from the train? Sorry to tell you but the officer was recently found by the SF DA to have used necessary force. It’s not looking good for the transient’s family (where were they before?) that are filing a wrongful death lawsuit.

  • SFBayGman says:

@TheInternetizen A bit of a late reply but to answer your question, no. It was the case of a drunk and drugged up transient pulling his knife and throwing it at the cop. If he was just throwing it away why would it come from behind him like it bounced off the train? Let me guess, the tape was doctored and it’s a big conspiracy?

  • SFBayGman says:

@jsooterlexsc Looks like your comment was spot on and the DA believed the same thing.

What is with the female pointing to the cop with her leg as she walked by? (at 45 seconds). Was she a lookout and was warning the knife guy about the officer coming off the train? Something was defininately in the works before the train stopped. Odd, that everyone speeds up when the commotion starts, and she keeps walking at the same pace like there’s nothing going on. I think she knew the knifeman.

@WarfighterCapable Oky, so I guess I was given wrong information by my RDC’s. Course, back to my first point, DoctorWee was hit when he was 14 by friends, and I was asking him if he SPECIFICALLY was hit by full dosage. This is because my point of this whole thing is, why didn’t the BART officer use pepper spray instead of a gun, or at least attempt pepper spray first.

  • WarfighterCapable says:

@No1Complainer I’m telling you as a former CBRN NCO, The person who preps the chamber and teaches those courses… The capsule used isn’t diluted its just not that big, A CS grenade which I have also used and in order to be allowed to use a CS grenade you need to be hit by one, Back a few years ago I used to prep gas chambers WITH a CS grenade.

  • No1Complainer says:

@WarfighterCapable I know for a fact that the military waters down actual teargas, since I did it in basic myself (got yelled at as well for spitting up spaghetti sauce, they were angry because they thought I was coughing up blood).

  • WarfighterCapable says:

@No1Complainer Oh no its full dosage…. Same thing with CS Grenades “teargas”.

  • DoctorWeeTodd says:

@DoctorWeeTodd Luckily I only got it watered down, but my idiot friends took turns passing it to one another and spraying it full force (Jackass was a very popular show then) and it didn’t seem to slow them down much.

  • No1Complainer says:

@DoctorWeeTodd That is true, it does not immobilize. It does hurt, and can easily blind a person if shot in the face. Did you get full force or watered down? I know for training in the military and most law enforcement, they have to be sprayed in the face, but I think it’s not full dosage. Could be wrong. Maybe the BART enforcement guys should be armed with gas masks and tear gas.

  • PyROphantasie says:

@modeleccentric I was not calling you a Nazi, i was pointing out that to follow orders/training blindly is insanity.
The world is not black and white, there are many shades of grey.

Brittan’s police force didn’t even used to carry guns. They seemed to be doing fine.
Now they do, someone innocent got shot, and violent riots ensued.

    What do you expect?

Especially when 9 time out of ten when a police officer murders an innocent (which seems to happen often) they get off with barely any charges.

  • modeleccentric says:

@PyROphantasie I do think it’s okay to kill someone, in defense of Personal life, loved ones, small children, woodland animals, (except when it’s dinnertime) and when you’re on a crowded subway platform filled with potential hostages, stabbeees and other potential victims. You’ve no clue who I am, what I feel and what makes me sad or happy. All I see of you is “Believing What You Think.” Throw Nazi @ Me, I raise you Pol Pot. Oh, and let’s get Ad Hominem.. You Are a Scoundrel and Fool.

  • PyROphantasie says:

@modeleccentric The Nazi Germany training probably taught the SS to find and take any Jews to the concentration camps but that didn’t make it right.

As an INDIVIDUAL you should be able to decide what’s right and wrong.

As a Citizen if I shot and killed a man because he had a Knife I’d be serving a HELL of a lot more time than these Police are getting.

I’m not trying to “Bait” you, just trying to have a Moral Conversation with someone who thinks it’s EVER OK to KILL someone.

    -Thank You.

  • TheBayBelleSF says:

I’d feel safer with a knife wielding drunk than a gun wielding bart officer. No joke.

  • modeleccentric says:

@PyROphantasie (sigh) Really? You can get just as dead with a knife wound as with a gunshot wound. I’m not making a political comment . I’m just going back to the escalation of force training I received in the Sheriff’s Academy and going from there. I ask of you all: read no politics into my comment. Nether of you have no Idea who I am, or what my leanings are. If you’re trying to bait me, this is as far as it gets. Thanks for your attention.

  • PyROphantasie says:

@modeleccentric Police ARE not and SHOULD not be JUDGE, JURY, and EXECUTIONER all in one instant.

If they need to arrest him for some reason then all for it, but there was no need to MURDER the man, that’s called the DEATH PENALTY and that’s for the COURTS to decide.

Since when does wielding a Knife, even threatening an officer with it, deserve the DEATH PENALTY?!

  • DoctorWeeTodd says:

@No1Complainer I’ve use pepper spray. When I was 14, some idiot friends decided to spray each other with them, and accidently got it all over my clothes. It DOES NOT IMMOBILIZE! It just hurt like a motherfucker and I beat the shit out of those assholes.

Tasers do immobilize on the other hand, but most are a one shot deal.

  • DoctorWeeTodd says:

@No1Complainer And because of the horrible criminal justice system, he would’ve spent more than 15 years in prison with other gang members, killers, rapists, but eventually be released due to prison overcrowding. He’ll be hooked on more drugs, have no prospect of a job and go back to being homeless and throwing things at cops and little girls pushing strollers.

  • flinx says:

@Peacetoyouandyours You know what’s also a good one? Throwing a knife at the police. You should do that and see what happens. Or wait for the police report to see if witnesses say there was a second knife or not.
