How to stream/record using FME
Hey, so I finally decided to make a tutorial on how to stream games after all of the constant questions I have gotten over time. Although it is not a pro tutorial by any means, it should provide enough information to help those who are actually interested in either becoming a camera man for casting for themselves, so hopefully you enjoy it! Hey man , i need some , help , whenever i broadcast with 1280×720 to justin , everything is ok until i start gaming, and like the quality of the broadcast just goes down and it looks all pixelated, my upload speed is of 1mBp, is that problem? but when the screen is steady or just looking at my desktop it looks great , =(

when I select stereo mix, it says that the format is unsupported and then when I click on the options ( the wrench) it tells me that the device is in use. please help.
i cant get it to show the full screen it only shows the upper left half any suggestions?
Does it record when you go to full screen mode, or do you have to keep the game windowed.
for some reason my fps is dropping to 2-3 on justin tv as soon as I start the game T_T any solutions?

Guy’s dont waste your time with this anymore, ever since that gayass “Dyyno” progam was made you cant find your stream id anymore. JTV is just turning fking stupid, now spammed with ad’s too. -.- What other live broadcasting websites are there?
okay umm did every thing u said and i can record its just that when i start up a game like counter strike to stream i cant see the game when i upload the saved file on youtube y is that
@boxinginfo launch the game and in the video options there should be a windowed mode
@succubusmistress question, I’ve been trying to stream video off a desktop player and the same thing happens in VH Screen Cap, the background of the player can be seen in FME but the second the video starts it goes black although the audio is present. What is windowned mode and where do I change the setings?
@succubusmistress nvrmd, figured it out – had to play in windowned mode
I tried to record my desktop, it worked but when I tried to launch a game (portal) my viewers would see only black screen. Any advice?

Very nice tutorial, but ive got a problem, and it is that it dont work.
The message i get is “failure to connect to primary server”
Were do i find the stream URL if that is the problem?

I’ve seen other streams were the steams mouse was not visible to the viewer but visible to the streamer (like yours). How do you do that?
Or if you are on linux you can use any number of sweet programs :)
Other than live streaming which I dont know how to do. Kazam is my fav at the moment then after you record it with kazam you can convert it to flv or just upload it to youtube and it would convert it to flv for you.

I assume if you just want to make a VOD to upload to eg Youtube you just untick the stream option in FME and just have it save?
