Eric checks in via a TV-enabled video call, courtesy of a special new webcam from LG. The device uses Skype to establish a video conference call, and will function on an entire lineup of TVs that LG plans to release this year. Distributed by Tubemogul.

I just bought LG 3D tv.. not very big just 42″ and I am blown away with the quality and picture specially the 3D stuff. While buying it from hypermarket, a salesman from Samsung lied to me that LG don’t have Skype… and told me 1000 features of Samsung. I mange to find a salesman from LG guy who told me Skype is already included in new software.
And Yes, it was true that Skype is now available on LG TV, you need to buy a Camera however.
LG has done it already via software update… Skype is available now on my TV. I just need to buy a camera.
Ok.. So I’ve done my fair of research and LG has not provided any TV with skype software installed… Or is that an update?
I am VERY disappointed about the false advertisement LG made about having Skype on their TVs. I am tempted to give the TV back and buy a Panasonic or a Samsung that already have Skype.
At least they could have said “oops” and apologized. No respect for their fans.
